Introduction
Training programmes run by Reuser’s Information Services aim to teach participants on strategies and methodologies, not simple search tricks. The understanding of ”why” is much more important then “how”, for which RIS offers quick reference sheets.
The reference sheets below list the most important search commands and index fields of some of the more important Internet search engines. All sheets are arranged in Boolean style and give for each command a small explanation and example on how to use.
Please note: the quick reference sheets list things and items that only make sense for former participants to the training. For instance, commands that start with an ampersand (&) go behing the URL, not in the search box. Commands in red are not allowed.
